Our founder’s journey began in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, where she first discovered her love for fashion through crafting handmade necklaces. This early spark led her to pursue formal training at a fashion academy, where she learned the fundamentals of garment construction and began shaping her unique design identity.

Her passion for colorful African prints soon became her signature, each print inspiring bold, elegant pieces that blended tradition with modern femininity. By 2012, she had officially started creating outfits for clients, converting her family’s dining room into a small studio and store. From that humble beginning, she opened her first boutique in Ibadan.

As demand grew, she expanded to Lagos, where she launched her ready-to-wear line in early 2020, just before the COVID-19 lockdown. When protective gear became scarce, she responded with purpose — designing washable, reusable face masks from African prints and producing hand sanitizers, helping her community stay safe in style.

Her journey took a bold leap forward when she relocated to the United Kingdom, where she established the UK branch of NikieoCouture. What started in a dining room has grown into a globally recognized brand, known for bold prints, feminine silhouettes, and powerful storytelling through fashion.

She has since showcased her designs on both Nigerian runways and the prestigious London Fashion Week. Her collection drew international attention for its uniqueness, earning applause from Miss England herself, who praised the brand’s creativity and cultural depth.

Today, Nikieo Couture is a celebration of African heritage, modern elegance, and fearless style. Every piece is crafted with intention — to empower women, honour identity, and stand out with confidence.
